Meet Some Of Our Regular Dogs Here at Dog Walkers Sunderland
Bonnie
Age 7
Hi there! My name is Bonnie, I live in Grangetown, Sunderland, and I’m a 7-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I may be a bit older, but I’m still full of energy and love! One of my absolute favourite things in the world is going on long walks, especially if I can bring my favourite toy along – a tennis ball! There’s just something about chasing it that makes me so happy.
I’m a big fan of getting my paws nice and muddy, so don’t be surprised if I come back from a walk looking like I’ve been in a puddle! But honestly, that’s just part of the fun, right? I’ve never met a person I didn’t like either – I absolutely love meeting new humans. I’m always happy to make new friends and get plenty of cuddles. I may be a bit of a handful sometimes, but I promise, I’m full of love and affection. So, if you ever see me out on a walk, don’t be shy – I’d love to say hello!
Ross
Age 3
Hi, I’m Ross! I’m a 3-year-old Wire Haired Dachshund, I am from Seaburn, Sunderland, and I’m a bit on the shy side. I like to take things slow, especially when meeting new people or walking in unfamiliar places. My ideal walk is somewhere quiet, where I can just take my time and enjoy the calm surroundings.
Sometimes, I have sleepovers with Dog Walkers Sunderland, and I really enjoy that – it’s nice to have a change of scenery, especially when I get to snuggle up and feel safe. When I’m with my favourite humans, I love curling up on their lap – it’s my favourite spot to be. Oh, and I’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth! I absolutely love treats, they’re the best part of the day.
Once I’m comfortable with someone, I open up a bit more and can even be playful. I might not run around like some dogs, but I still enjoy a good game once I’m feeling relaxed. So, if you’re patient with me, I promise I’ll be your loyal friend in no time! Check out our ‘Wire Haired Dachshund’ blog post!
Benny
Age 4
Hey there, I’m Benny! I’m a 4-year-old Lurcher, I am from Houghton-le-spring and let me tell you, I’ve got plenty of energy to spare! I’m always up for a good time, whether it’s running around, playing fetch, or just being active. I’m pretty fast, so if you ever need a speedy companion, I’m your guy!
One of my favourite things is bones – I love chewing on them and sometimes I even like to hide them, just to keep them safe for later. I can be a little sneaky about it, but it’s all part of the fun. I’m also super obedient (most of the time!) and I love to listen to my humans. I really enjoy spending time with people, especially when we’re having fun together. Check out our ‘Lurcher’ blog post!
Deano
Age 5
Hello there, I’m Deano! I’m a 5-year-old Doberman, I am from Washington and I’m all about the chill life. I’m not in a rush to get anywhere – I like to take my time on walks, sniffing around and enjoying the world at my own pace.
One of my favourite things to do is find a big stick. There’s something about carrying a big stick that just makes me happy. I’ll proudly carry it around, and if you’re lucky, I might even share it with you! Read about Dobermans in our ‘Doberman’ blog post!
Monica
Age 8
Hi, I’m Monica! I’m an 8-year-old Labrador, I am from Shiney Row, and I’ve got the softest heart around. I’m all about love, and I’m always ready to show it with some big, sloppy kisses (watch out, they’re hard to avoid!).
One of my favourite things to do is run in fields with my teddy – it’s my best buddy, and we have so much fun together. I love everyone I meet, whether they’re human or another furry friend, and I’m always excited to make new friends.

Penny
Age 5
Hi, I’m Penny! I’m a 5-year-old Chihuahua, I am from Hendon, and I’m as sassy as they come. I’ve got a big personality packed into my little body, and I just love getting all the attention. If you’re giving me some cuddles or a scratch behind the ears, you’re definitely my favorite person!
I may be small, but don’t let that fool you – I know exactly what I want. I enjoy short walks, but I’ll definitely let you know when I’ve had enough. Once I’m done, it’s time to be carried – I’m way too fabulous to keep walking! Check out our ‘Chihuahua’ blog post!
